A WELCOMED STAY

Faiyaz Koya, Fiji's Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism, claimed that Vatuvara is one of those islands that ones does not forget and that it 'showcases the Fijian spirit.'

The Minister added that it was a great honor for them to be able to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Sussex since they are so loved by people all over the world.

THE LUXURIOUS RESORT

According to Vatuvara's website, all guests travel to the island by the resort's Twin Otter aircraft, and that they can stay at any of the hotel's three private villas.

On Thursday, Harry and Meghan were spotted at the Nadi Airport for the unveiling of a commemorative statue of Sergeant Talaiasi Labalaba, who died in the Battle of Mirbat, in 1972.

A BUSY SCHEDULE

After Fiji, the parents-to-be landed in Tonga, the next stop on their 16-day Australian tour, where they will spend some time before returning to Sydney.

There, the couple will be able to witness the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games, right before traveling to New Zealand, the last stop on the schedule.

Right after their arrival in Tonga, Harry and Meghan were welcomed by Princess Angelika Lātūfuipeka, the eldest daughter of King Tupou QI.

For the occasion, Meghan chose to wear a red dress with floral details designed by Self-Portrait, which seemed to honor the Tongan flag, while Harry opted for a plain light suit.
