Eight-year-old Isabella McCune was sitting beside a homemade fire pit with the rest of her family spending some quality time together when it suddenly exploded.

According to Liftable, all members of the family got injured, including the father, who was severely burned. Unfortunately, Isabella got the worse part of it as she sustained third-degree burns all over her body.

Her condition was so severe that she had to undergo multiple surgeries and she couldn’t either speak or walk for more than two months. Lilly McCune, Isabella’s mother, admitted that the family never expected that their fun night ended up in such a tragic way.

Even though Isabella is out of danger already, she cannot do much as her injuries are still slowly healing.

When Isabella heard that Taylor Swift, her favorite singer, was going to Arizona for her Reputation tour, she felt sad because she couldn’t go to the concert. However, her family helped her record a video and sent it to the pop star.

In the video, Isabella confessed that every time the nurses change the dressings, a process that might last up to three hours because they cover all her body, she listens to Swift’s songs to ease the pain.

The girl also confessed that she would have loved to go to the concert but that she couldn’t because she was at the hospital and finally asked Swift if she could go to the hospital and visit her.

Swift, touched by the story, paid a 30-minute visit that Isabella will never forget. The singer showed up with a bag filled with T-shirts and sweatshirts from her tour and even autographed pictures for Isabella’s friends and brother.

According to USA Today, Swift wrote a message in Isabella’s journal, where her friends and the staff of the hospital share their best wishes for her.

"Isabella! I hope you feel better soon and I’m honored you've been listening to my music. You're so awesome and I can’t wait to have you at a show!! Stay strong, gorgeous. Love, Taylor Swift."
