Dolly Parton to be honored with her second 'Walk of Fame' star

Country superstar Dolly Parton is set to accept her second star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

For the second time, Parton will be receiving the special honor with her fellow singers in the album Trio, Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt.

The plaque will officially make them a part of the long list of stars who were able to prove they have had such big and successful careers.

The three singers are set to be inducted in 2019 alongside stars like Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway – who are both Oscar winners, singer Michael Bublé and writer-director-actor Tyler Perry.

Parton is not a first-time recipient of the plaque since she was already given her first star in 1984. She is the first woman in the 21st century to have a second star.

The singer shared the announcement on Twitter by posting a video where she said, "I am so excited that I have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but with two of my best friends…."

“Now they tell me that I’m the first person this century -- the first woman -- to have two stars. But of course, that’s natural." She jokingly added, "I like to do things in pairs if you know what I mean!"

In 1987, Parton, Harris, and Ronstadt released their platinum Trio collaboration. A second album entitled Trio II was put out in 1999.

In 2016, the legendary icons released The Complete Trio Collection.

The latest album consisted of the two previous ones which had been re-mastered and re-released. Alternate versions and other unreleased tracks were also included.

Parton has been making big achievements in the past years. In 2017, she earned two spots in the Guinness Book of World Records for her success on the country charts.

Soon, she will be going to Hollywood with her two co-artists to receive the star. The date of their induction is yet to be announced.
